The International Council of Shopping Centers holds the Real Estate Convention for the Asia-Pacific (RECon Asia-Pacific) every year with the intention of bringing together industry experts and professionals to share best practices.Â
Delegates from across the region can look forward to presentations and discussions, trade booths that allow them to learn about the latest services and suppliers of the industry and invaluable opportunities to network and build business relationships. Perhaps the most exciting part of the three-day event is the newly launched “country champions” ceremony that recognizes senior industry professionals who have contributed to the development of and given insight on the retail and shopping mall business in their respective countries. The Asia Pacific Shopping Center Awards will also be presented in this event.Â
A closer look at quickly changing Asian markets reveals that there truly is untapped potential in the region. A growing middle class, a younger generation with more spending power and spreading urbanization are all points of interest for those in the business, all of which will be looked at in-depth to further explore opportunities for growth for the industry.
The 2016 RECon Asia-Pacific will be held at the Shangri-La, Fort in Manila from Oct. 11 to 13.Â
