Udenna Group joins hands with country’s frontliners in facing Covid-19

5CC9E6C2-BBB0-4B27-9915-265578B5F2ECIn response to the government’s call for businesses to support its workforce during the Covid-19 containment period, the Udenna Group has decided to maintain the salaries and benefits of all its employees for the duration of the quarantine period. To further help the affected employees, Udenna will also be giving half of the 13th month pay and a portion of the year end bonus in advance.

Ahead of the Community Quarantine, Udenna Foundation, in cooperation with MyongJi Hospital, donated 1,000 Covid-19 diagnostic kits to the Department of Health.  The Department of Health has received the kits last March 13 for immediate use.

Dennis A. Uy,  Udenna Foundation chairman relates : “These are very somber times. Covid-19 is not just a national problem but is a global pandemic. While we’re literally disallowed to join hands, nothing is stopping the private sector, the local government, and the international community from responding collectively to contain, or at the very least slow the spread of Covid-19. We all have a role, and this is our small share to help.”

Other than the test kit donations, food service companies that are part of the Udennna Group such as Wendy’s and Conti’s Bake Shop have also heeded the call to care for our frontliners. In this new type of war, our health care workers are our soldiers. The two food chains sent food packs to seven medical institutions and served over 200 food packs for health workers, community workers and PNP officers.
