“Use your coconut:” Pia Wurtzbach on hand-washing, keeping your files and winning the crown

Miss Universe season may be over (for now) but the beauty queen who cinched the elusive crown in 2015 continues to shine with her health and beauty tips, as well as words of wisdom for both Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza and Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo.

“Back up your files!” Pia Wurtzbach dished out this sage advice to reigning Miss Universe Andrea Meza during the recent launch of Dr. Coco, a 100-percent nature-derived, anti-bacterial, anti-viral hand soap, which she currently endorses.

“Many would advise that you enjoy, feel the moment, but my real advice is to back up your files. I lost a lot of pictures from my reign. I’ll never get those memories back. Invest in a nice camera and back up your files, girl!” she said.

Pia also told Philippine rep Rabiya Mateo, who bowed out of the competition after entering the Top 21, to stand proud. “She’s already a big star and I know that she will become even more famous,” she said in the vernacular.  “More people will get to know her and love her. Opportunities are definitely coming her way.”

Likening Rabiya to her yellow Furne One gown in the preliminaries, Pia said she thinks the former will shine  “brighter than the sun.”

“She [Rabiya] will shine brighter than the sun.”

On a more practical note, the beauty queen, who is also one of the country’s most sought-after brand ambassadors, also shared her secrets to maintaining her manicured hands clean, soft and moisturized round the clock. One of her more recent secrets, she divulged, is using Dr. Coco. In fact, she and and her friends have been using the product for weeks!

The liquid hand soap, which comes in  lavender and green tea scents, is among the few products of its kind to be specifically developed in the time of the new normal. Clinically proven effective in fighting virus and bacteria, it also leaves a film of protection on the skin that keeps it feeling soft, supple and moisturized, thanks to its main ingredient CocoMCT (medium chain triglycerides).

“We wanted to create a hand soap that is designed for the times. At the rate we are washing our hands in the new normal, consumers deserve a hand soap that will not only effectively cleanse, but at the same time, nourish hands using natural ingredients. We have made hand-washing better than ever by creating a soap that has multiple benefits that go way beyond just keeping your hands clean through Dr. Coco.” added Star Estacio, general manager for food and personal care  at Consumer Care Products Inc.

On endorsing the 100-percent Filipino product, Pia said: “I am proud to represent a proudly Filipino-made product of this quality. Magaling talaga tayong mga Pinoy (Filipinos are really good at what we do).”
