This year, the Philippines’ most celebrated trade fair and “must-visit sourcing hub” organized by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-CITEM) zones in on the growing hospitality, real estate, travel and tourism industries in Asia and the Middle East.

“There’s going to be a lot of exciting additions in Manila FAME this year. In keeping with the reputed dynamism of the show and its rapidly evolving global markets, CITEM rallies together the country’s finest talents to put up spectacular shows for April and October,” says CITEM deputy executive director Ma. Lourdes Mediran.

In addition to Manila FAME’s mainstay furniture, lighting and holiday exhibits, expect to see a plethora of items of scale and decorative piece displays that will appeal to those with large scale architectural and building contract needs. Networking opportunities for design services, as well as architectural and interior contract project partnerships for real estate and hospitality developments will also be a highlight.

On the same note, specialized products and high-design merchandise made for targeted buyers hoping to spruce up theme parks, museums, cultural centers and other tourism and travel destinations are sure to pique interest.

Meanwhile, those hoping to find a statement piece or two for personal spaces will certainly also leave with unique finds. Small concept products specially developed for modern, contemporary and millennial homes and workspaces are definitely going to run aplenty.

Special exhibits introducing innovations of bamboo, coconut and other indigenous materials in the Philippines alongside the Philippine Commission on Women’s GREAT Women 2 Project and a special holiday-themed lamps and lighting collection unlike any other are also must-sees.

Stanley Ruiz, Dem Bitantes, Rey Soliven, Stephen Buñi, PJ Arañador, Rachelle Dagñalan and Mon Pabillon are some of the acclaimed designers participating in these special exhibits.

“Manila FAME strengthens the Philippines’ international reputation as a reliable source of export-quality products, materials, and services. As the lead organizer, CITEM endeavors to make every edition of Manila FAME a notch higher than the last one, concludes Mediran.
