Friday the fourteenth saw BGC become a hotbed of fashion and glamour at Zalora Fashion Night Out 2016. Held at the Globe Iconic Amphitheater, this highly anticipated fashion show highlighted the holiday collections of Filipino designers and of Zalora itself.
The show kicked off with some urban chic from Mossimo and Ed Hardy, two American brands which are now available for sale on Zalora’s website. The former showcased Mossimo X, its newest capsule collection of dynamic, easy-to-wear clothes that are edgy yet fashionably laidback. Ed Hardy, on the other hand, exhibited their signature gritty aesthetic inspired by Southern Californian tattoo culture.
In its mission to provide their audience with affordable and cutting-edge fashion, Zalora’s presented their in-house holiday collection, which featured a clever selection of outfits that played with a variety of materials in dark tones. Local designers, namely Martin Bautista, Stacy Rodriguez, Sassa Jimenez, and Ziggy Savella also showcased their new offerings. Martin’s mastery over drapery and garment construction was a great contrast to Stacy’s trendy but down-to-earth street wear. Meanwhile, Ziggy’s innovations in menswear were a great follow-up to Sassa’s quirky and colorful outfits.
