Malts in March: Scotch whiskies at the Makati Diamond Residences

It’s believed that the word “whisky” was derived from the Gaelic word “uisge beatha,” which translates to “water of life.”

Anyone who has had a sip or two of the finest Scotch Whisky can attest to this, and they’ll be more than happy to tell you that no other spirit can compare to the drink whose centuries-old distilling methods have stood the test of time and continued to impress the most discerning of palates.

Organized by the Makati Diamond Residences, the Whisky Flight Promotion allows Filipinos to get a taste of some of the best Scottish single malts for the whole month of March at their Whisky & Cigar Bar.

The special event offers a tasting selection of three Scottish single malts, each with a distinct personality:

  • Glenfiddich, 12 years old: a classic Speyside single malt whisky offering fresh and fruity notes with a touch of oak and finishing sweet and smooth

  • Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, 12 years old: opening up with a rich aroma and tastes of dark mint chocolate and walnuts, complemented by touches of pepper and nutmeg

  • Caol Ila, 12 years old: a subtle citrus fruit with its light acidity and lingering finish.

Every amber glass is sure to transport you to a world of sophistication and reaffirm your appreciation for the drink that’s as good as liquid gold.

The Whisky & Cigar Bar is open every Monday to Saturday from 4 p.m. to 12 m.n. For inquiries and reservations, call (02) 317 0999 local 1613.
