A confluence of good food and art at Antipolo

CASA_Chrisellie2The ARTipolo Group, a group of artists based in Antipolo, launched a month-long exhibit and sale of paintings that now adorn the walls of Casa Nieves Filipino-Spanish restaurant at Robinson’s Place Antipolo.

CASA_Butch2Inspired by the recipes of the late Nieves Rodriguez, Casa Nieves has joined hands with ARTipolo to add an experience designed to stir diners’ five senses and add creativity to the bistro, with artworks of artists from Antipolo and other localities.CASA_Dyna2

“ARTipolo En Casa Nieves” runs until May 21. More ARTipolo exhibits will follow in July and in succeeding months.

Through these artworks, diners can linger and look at the paintings and contemplate the beauty of God’s creations, while enjoying the sumptuous taste of the “ultimate” paella and leche flan in town at Casa Nieves.

Excellent food and art convey the essence and inspiring influence of Nieves, a humble and reserved woman who was gifted with a great sense of taste, humor and a knack  for good conversation. Her passion for cooking fueled her to prepare many unforgettable meals for her amigas.CASA_Kel1
