We all know Meghan Markle, the talented actress-turned-royal fiance.

(Not her official IG account, btw)

In case you missed the news, the Suits actress is engaged to Prince Harry of Whales. The couple is scheduled to marry on May 19, 2018 at St. George’s Chapel.

This means that she has started joining her fiance in official royal engagements and appearances, like the royal tour to Edinburgh, Scotland. And it was there that Meghan showed off her linguistic skills in Filipino.

In a video originally uploaded by Jenny Ulay on Facebook and then re-uploaded by other netizens like Malcolm S. Conlan and YouTube user AniMezing TV, the future duchess was seen conversing briefly with a Filipino fan before thanking her with a big smile and a “Salamat po [Thank you].”

A proud daughter of the City of Los Angeles (where lots of Filipinos and Filipino-Americans live, Meghan is no stranger to Filipino culture. According to Coconuts, she once wrote in her now defunct lifestyle website The Tig that she can even “whip up a big pot of chicken adobo like it’s nobody’s business.” A big foodie, Meghan even included chicken adobo in an article she wrote for the Today Show’s website.

And in case you were wondering, here is her recipe for chicken adobo, as posted on the website Hungry Forever. It’s pretty spot on, and fit for a royal feast!
