Leading figures in the country’s banking industry gathered to honor one of their own for “Once Citi, Always Citi.”
Citi Philippines CEO Paul Favila presented banking veteran Gil A. Buenaventura the 2023 “Citi Distinguished Alumni Award for Leadership” during the event. Buenaventura is currently a Director of the Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. (RCBC) and of House of Investments, Inc.
Prior to this, he was at the helm of RCBC as its President and Chief Executive Officer. The seasoned banker also served as the President and CEO of the Development Bank of the Philippines.
More than 250 Citi Philippines alumni came together for the annual event, which also served as the first face-to-face reunion for former Citibankers after the pandemic.
