Raffles Makati recently launched an exclusive offering dubbed “Honeylicious Afternoon Tea” at The Writers Bar, where guests can indulge in an exquisite selection of sweet and heavenly delights that showcase the unique flavors of honey.
The month of June welcomes a bountiful first harvest of honey from Raffles Makati’s own in-house bee colony. As a keen steward of sustainability, the hotel celebrates this event by launching the delectable “Honeylicious Afternoon Tea” at The Writers Bar.
The hotel’s executive chef, Bèla Rieck, creatively curated an exquisite selection of sweet and savory canapés to showcase the flavorful experiences found only in honey.
The delectable line-up of sweet delights includes honey dates wrapped in prosciutto skewers, honey Gorgonzola and arugula sandwich, honey osoman infused white chocolate tart and tahini, and honey macarons, among others. Guests are welcome to partake in the sweet experience until June 30.
The exclusive launch of “Honeylicious Afternoon Tea” was hosted by the Raffles and Fairmont Makati’s director of sales and marketing, Eugene Tamesis, and hotel manager, Aubrey Ada. The launch was graced by special guests from the diplomatic community, media personalities and influencers. Also present at the event was the hotel’s executive committee, including cluster general manager Bernd Schneider and director of food and beverage Anne-Sophie Hurtaud.
Guests had the opportunity to taste freshly extracted honey after its extraction demonstration executed by Chef Bèla Rieck and beekeeper Katya Rieck.
The Writers Bar at Raffles Makati is open daily from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Afternoon tea is served on a reservations-only basis from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Each set for two starts at P2,900 with optional upgrades for mocktail, cocktails and champagne.
