Featuring Canton dishes inspired by contemporary world cuisine, Li Li, New World Manila Bay Hotel’s Cantonese restaurant, features Executive Chef Raymond Yeung’s new menu showcasing his creative take on traditional Chinese cooking – a delicious marriage between customary Cantonese cooking methods and unconventional ingredients served in an inspiring and creative presentation.

For Li Li, the addition of the veteran Chinese chef only cultivates the restaurant’s rich Chinese identity. The chef opts for more traditional cooking techniques when it comes to modern Cantonese cuisine, enhancing the authentic Chinese dining experience that Li Li’s guests have come to know and love.

“Developing new dishes, experimenting with unique flavors, utilizing unconventional ingredients and creating visually stimulating presentations help me bring my own personality into Li Li through each dish’s authentic and unique characteristic,” says Chef Raymond, a former Hong Kong International Culinary Classic Gold Awardee.

Chef Raymond, who has been in the industry for more than 24 years, reinvents the Yum Cha menu by changing things up in terms of textures and flavors. He even handpicks the dim sum ingredients himself, sourcing locally sourced ingredients and specialty delicacies such as abalone and scallops, among others.

An unlimited selection of handmade delectable dim sum offerings await guests, starting with appetizers, specialty soups and cuisine barbecue dishes followed by a wide assortment of steamed and deep-fried dim sum; and ends with delightful desserts and refreshing teas from the tea bar.

Chef Raymond also tries to ensure that the restaurant’s quality and standards are upheld. He will personally oversee consistent implementation of the approved menu while training the culinary team in the preparation and presentation of each and every dish – one of the reasons why Li Li remains a classic favorite among local and international guests.

Guests shouldn’t worry too much about any drastic changes. Well, except for the fact that the “All You-Can-Eat-Dim-Sum” lunch now offers more than 30 kinds of freshly prepared homemade dim sum!
