Spiral at Sofitel

Sofitel will be honoring moms from May 11-13, 2018 with a gastronomic presentation of beloved home-cooked dishes around the world at Spiral. Enjoy family-centric dishes like Beef Tongue with Pickled Sauce from the French atelier, Yong Tau Fu or vegetables stuffed with minced seafood and brown bean sauce from the Chinese station, Bengali Mustard Fish Curry from the North Indian atelier, Flower Pork Shabu-Shabu by the Japanese chefs and Clam Stew with Basil from the Thai station. For an al fresco alternative, take mom to the Mother’s Day special poolside barbecue buffet at Sunset Bar starting at 6:30 p.m. for a spread of grilled Filipino favorites and live musical entertainment by the ocean.

Pamper your mom with an impeccable tea gastronomy experience and the perfect ambiance for a getaway from daily routine on this special day at TWG. The celebration begins with a refreshing cocktail of Moroccan Mint Tea, Gnawa Tea, yuzu juice, rum and fresh mint, as well as some lightly pickled sliced beets with a blue cheese mousse infused with Napoleon Tea. Marriott Cafe is serving up a feast for your mom and family with an extravagant spread of organic salads, fresh seafood, prime meat and authentic Japanese and Chinese dishes. There are also stations for customized gambas, pasta, noodle bowls and teppanyaki. For homebodies, there’s a selection of Filipino entrees like adobo, sinigang, sisig, bulalo, and even halo-halo that goes around the tables! Brunch is available at P2,900 a head and dinner at P2,700.

Crystal Dragon at City of Dreams Manila

Crystal Dragon is whipping up a Cantonese feast for mom with two special set menus for lunch or dinner prepared by Chinese Executive Chef Bong Jun Choi, Crystal Dragon Chef de Cuisine Chan Choo Kean and their culinary team. The Munificent 6-course set menu features deep-fried prawns, hand-rolled pong-pong chicken and deep-fried crispy black pepper duck dumplings, braised seafood treasure with bird’s nest and spinach in superior broth, and other specialty seafood courses. The more lavish 9-course Virtuous menu offers aromatic duck rolls, deep-fried prawn ball, simmered shredded pork ear with spicy vinegar and Shanghai marinated fish slices, braised abalone with mushroom, bean curd and broccoli, wok-fried egg noodles with abalone and other premium Chinese delicacies.

The Mother’s Day Munificent and Virtuous set menus are at P2,380++ (minimum order for 2 to 8 persons) and P4,380++ per person (minimum order for 8 to 10 persons), respectively. The menus are available until May 14.
