As one of last year’s Gusi Peace Prize awardees, world-renowned Filipino designer Michael Cinco feels strongly about giving back to the foundation through an upcoming gala show.
The Gusi Peace Prize by the Manila-based Gusi Peace Prize Foundation based is given to individuals and organizations who contribute to global peace and progress in various fields.
Dubbed as “The Philippine Legacy Gala 2023 – Michael Cinco: The Impalpable Dream of España,” Cinco’s show promises to be a fashion extravaganza like no other on November 27 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Manila.
“The Impalpable Dream of España” will feature the vibrant culture of Spain, as Michael shared, “I’ve been always fascinated by the Spanish culture – I like the arts, the history, the architecture.”
This particular show will see a fusion of Spanish art, history, and architecture – from the breathtaking Roman Catholicism of La Sagrada de Familia in Barcelona, to the iconic masterpieces of Spanish-native artists like Pablo Picasso and Salvador Dalí, and the captivating Spanish matadors and flamenco dancers, Cinco’s collection aims to capture the essence of Spain in every stitch.
In addition to his latest collection consisting of 50 haute couture looks, this gala will also mark the launch of his new perfume series and jewelry line, offering a complete lifestyle brand experience.
The only Filipino fashion designer to achieve international acclaim, Cinco has graced major fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan, and Paris. He has also dressed A-list Hollywood celebrities including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Mila Kunis, Rihanna, and Naomi Campbell.
With all he has achieved so far, he remains committed to making a difference. Proceeds from “The Philippine Legacy Gala 2023 – Michael Cinco: The Impalpable Dream of España” will benefit The Philippine Missionari Della Fondazione di Carita, Inc. and the Gusi Peace Prize Foundation.
