Pinky Tobiano heralds holidays with special tablescape for Rustan’s Makati

As expected, the Christmas-themed table setting using items available at Rustan’s home section dazzled and impressed guests. What made it more impressive was how easily Pinky put things together to come up with a setup ideal for entertaining family and friends.

Tablescape diva Pinky Tobiano, also an accomplished chemist and businesswoman, welcomed the holiday season while capping off an eventful year with a recent weekday afternoon event highlighted by her latest ephemeral masterpiece.

It was as if the pandemic never happened, as guests, including Pinky’s loved ones and close friends, trooped to Rustan’s Makati’s home section to see up close and personal what the “Queen of Tablescaping” had to offer this time around. And she didn’t disappoint.

As expected, the Christmas-themed table setting dazzled and impressed guests, young and old. What made it more impressive was how easily Pinky put things together to come up with a setup ideal for entertaining family and friends over lunch or dinner this holiday season.

Tapping on her experience and innate taste when it comes to matters related to the home, she curated the items for her table from the wide range of home merchandise available at Rustan’s.

In Pinky’s years of doing tablescaping, she believes that having diverse choices invariably spark interesting and meaningful conversations with guests.

In keeping with the season, bright and glittering colors highlighted the table, which was accessorized by pops of holiday trimmings and elegant ornaments. Beautiful and festive decor  were layered to maximum effect to produce a holiday-ready set-up.

As an added bonus, Santa Clause complemented the scene, as he and Pinky easily became the most photographed celebrities that night.

Pinky, whose main inspiration were her family and friends, earned praise for  the holiday-themed tablescape she created for them. Her guests know that tablescaping is how she expresses her love and gratitude to those special to her. This is evident in her TV show “TableLovebyPinky,” where she never seems to run out of tablescaping ideas to impress and surprise.

Pinky’s better-half, Juancho Robles, as well as her daughter, Pianne, helped entertain guests who graced the event. Her parents, July and Tessie Tobiano, were also present.

Even Rustan’s president, Nedy Tantoco, was in attendance, as well as Mike Huang, Rustan’s senior vice president for support and development and Mario Katigbak, general manager of Luxury Concepts.

Guests who graced the Tablescaping event included former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson, Rep. Richelle Singson, Consul Helen Ong, Consul Fortune Ledesma, Teddy Manuel, Donnie Tantoco, Mita Roman, Connie Haw, Patch Singson, Mike Huang and Nikki Tang.

Also present were former beauty queen Bianca Manalo, Cornerstone’s Erickson Raymundo, noted hairdresser Bambbi Fuentes, Gerry Sy and wife Jinky Tobiano-Sy and actor Alex Diaz.
