The biggest Tory Burch boutique in PH opens its doors at Power Plant Mall

By Hermes Joy Tunac

American lifestyle brand Tory Burch recently opened its biggest boutique at Power Plant Mall in Rockwell, Makati City, offering several exclusive pieces from the designer brand’s Fall/Winter 2018 collection.

Located strategically at one of the most prominent shopping centers in the metro, the boutique is only the fourth official Tory Burch store in the Philippines.

The newest store’s façade is clean and modern, with minimal brass detailing, large windows, and light boxes featuring seasonal print campaigns. In keeping with all Tory Burch stores, the interior has been designed to create a residential feel. Oak-paneled walls, cane tables and brass étagères offer a neutral backdrop to a sophisticated mix of furnishings, including leopard-printed rugs, mocha-striped drapes and banquettes covered in an exquisite floral print inspired by Tory’s home in the West Indies.

As for the Fall/Winter 2018 collection, Tory Burch took inspiration from Lee Radziwill’s effortless style to a field of carnations inspired by the drama of Pina Bausch’s Nelken. Romanticism defines the Fall/Winter 2018 mood.

“Feminine layers mixed with classic tailoring, a modern take on chintz, and contrasts of texture and print. Accessories carry these ideas through in leather bags and pointy-toe shoes,” said Tory, who wasn’t present during the opening, during an earlier fashion show in New York.

The exclusive fall product line includes a patchwork caftan in the season’s key floral Happy Times print, two Gemini Link handbags, and the Scallop Sneaker in pink and navy. The palette balances ivory, pale pink and red white leaf green, deep burgundy, and the brand’s signature Tory Navy.

Celebrities such as Tim Yap, Janeena Chan, Iza Calzado and Rachel Peters attended the launch. Meanwhile, Mari Jasmine hosted the evening’s official festivities.

Tory Burch is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., and is located at Greenbelt 5, Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Shangri-La and Power Plant Mall.
