Part of the “GoAnywhere” campaign is an off-road trek.

Whether you’re driving in the metro or you’re driving in the rough terrain of Taal, Batangas, you’re in for a treat with the Nissan Patrol. The Patrol shows us that an off-road vehicle can be luxurious, as well.

To launch the “GoAnywhere” campaign for the Nissan Patrol, Nissan hosted media friends on a drive with the vehicle to Taal, Batangas. The three-day event put the Nissan Patrol to the test with two extremes.

Among the attendees were PeopleAsia art director Ramon Ruiz, who was taken on an adventure to showcase the Patrol’s top-notch off-road capabilities.

The trip led to an adventurous off-road trek on the jungle trail in Tagaytay Highlands, which showcased the vehicle’s Hill Descent Control and Hill Start Assist features. Those who were part of the trip also enjoyed some Patrol-branded sailing at the Taal Lake Park to highlight the vehicle’s luxury specifications.

The Nissan Patrol combines luxury and off-road excellence

“Taal’s breathtaking scenery with its luxurious activities offer a great backdrop to display Nissan Patrol’s premium luxury and comfort, peerless off-road capabilities, and cutting-edge technology,” says Nissan Philippines president and managing director Atsushi Najima.

Among its more prominent features are the 5.6L V8 engine performance with seven-speed automatic transmission, Hydraulic Body Motion Control, which enabled it to conquer the zig zag slopes of Taal and its variable 4×4 capabilities. The Patrol also comes with Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies, such as the Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection and Parking Guide.

The fresh and modern design of the Patrol, meanwhile is headlined by the blackened A-pillar, 20-inch alloy wheels and a dynamic chrome grille to highlight an undeniable road presence.

The test drive also demonstrated how the Nissan Patrol has evolved over its 65 years of iconic off-road excellence. Backed by an 80-year truck heritage, Nissan aims to empower motorists to “GoAnywhere” with power, confidence and ease.
