The sweet life trains spotlight on the best of Italian cooking

Conrad Manila presents La Dolce Vita, an Italian gastronomic fest, which runs until Aug. 15, featuring the culinary creations of Chef Valerio Pierantonelli of Conrad Singapore’s Basilico Italian restaurant.

Conrad Manila’s Legendary Chef Series continues, and this time the luxury hotel by the bay is featuring Italian cuisine as interpreted by Chef Valerio Pierantonelli of Basilico, Conrad Singapore’s celebrated Italian restaurant. The gastronomic event is ongoing until Aug. 15 at Conrad Manila’s Brasserie on 3.

Hailing from Rome, Chef Valerio brings his extensive expertise and passion for Italian cuisine to the forefront as the head chef of Basilico. With over two decades of experience in prestigious food establishments worldwide, his culinary philosophy centers on using the finest and freshest ingredients to create dishes that pay homage to the true essence of Italian cooking. Now, this dedication to his craft is showcased in Brasserie on 3’s week-long gastronomic affair.

The Legendary Chefs Series – La Dolce Vita menu highlights a delightful selection of dishes, including the Mediterranean Octopus Salad with Yellow Potato and Fresh Basil Pesto, the Carnaroli Risotto with Saffron and Asparagus Sauce, and the indulgent Traditional Italian Tiramisu with Marsala and Mascarpone Sabayon. As added attraction, a live station is catering to pasta enthusiasts with Tortelli Pasta stuffed with Pork, tossed in a Brown Butter and Sage Sauce with Grana Padano and Toasted Hazelnuts.

The festival will run during lunch and dinner, with prices as follows: Monday to Thursday Lunch: P 1,799; Monday to Thursday Dinner: P 2,299; Friday to Sunday Lunch: P 3,000; Friday to Sunday Dinner: P 3,500.
