Weddings at the Peninsula Manila is back!

After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the much-awaited event for would-be brides and grooms returns, continuing a tradition of beauty, romance and excellent service, which started with the first-ever wedding reception the five-star hotel hosted 46 years ago.

The Peninsula Manila welcomes back Weddings at The Peninsula and More, a two-day event, from September 3 to 4, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This year’s edition, the first during the pandemic, also marks the 46th year The Peninsula Manila hosted its first wedding reception.

To celebrate this milestone event, the hotel is partnering with industry leaders Rita Neri Event Planners (RNEP) and Manila Fashion Festival (MFF), among others. Attendees have a chance to check out a range of wedding and celebratory essentials–from bridal finery to tabletop decorations, delicious cakes to blooming bouquets, and designer ensembles to honeymoon destinations, and many more.

The two-day event’s highlight will be the first-ever Manila Fashion Festival Bridal Collection on September 3.

Weddings at The Peninsula and More is a much-awaited event that celebrates the Filipino’s love of celebrations. After two years of the pandemic, the 2022 edition will bring together participants who offer a varied array of services and merchandise while introducing elements that signal the event’s emergence into a new normal.

Everything will begin at The Lobby. Created by floral artist Zenas Pineda, the colorful blooms that section off the area from the rest of the hotel will be a sight to behold.

The Upper Lobby will be transformed into a pop-up space offering a showcase of jewelry from Mel Diamonds; bespoke shoe wear from Shoepatos; lifestyle selections from West Elm; makeup artists from Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder and Jo Malone; holiday and honeymoon destinations from the Peninsula Hotels in Asia, the US and Europe, as well as those in Punta Fuego, Tagaytay and El Nido;

tablescapes by Beng Villanueva and Teddy Manuel; and the bridal collections by designers of the Manila Fashion Festival.

The Conservatory will feature a carefully selected gathering of the country’s most exclusive wedding and party suppliers and stylists like Jo Claravall, Jason Magbanua, Dave Sandoval, RJ Ledesma and Cake Concept.

But the overarching theme of Weddings at The Peninsula and More still remains the celebration of the beautiful elements of the wedding day. Highlighting this will be the first-ever Manila Fashion Festival Bridal Collection at The Lobby, a fashion parade on September 3 of stunning bridal wear by acclaimed Filipino designers Banggo Niu and Vin Orias (2 p.m.), Steph Tan and Orias (4 p.m.), Jun Escario and Orias (6 p.m.).

The shows will combine the passion of these four designers, the intimacy of a boutique show and the beauty of bridal fashion in a series of mini collection shows set against the backdrop of The Lobby’s iconic “Sunburst” sculpture by National Artist Napoleon Abueva.
